This radar informs vehicle drivers about their actual speed and aims to encourage users to slow down.

Typically found in urban areas on high-risk roads, this radar helps establish statistics.

Features of the pedagogical radar

WP Signalisation offers a radar compliant with current French standards and regulations.

The display screen of the radar measures 320 mm by 480 mm, with three digits each having a height of 300 mm, and the dimensions of the housing are as follows: 600 x 800 x 35 mm.

The color varies depending on the driver’s speed, and it is in RGB format.

The support is made of thermoplastic, and the back, closed, is made of aluminum. It is customizable by lacquering or anodizing according to RAL standards (contact us for more information).

Functionality of the pedagogical radar

The pedagogical radar informs drivers of infractions by emitting brief messages and the speed of traffic with configured colors. This device has been implemented to encourage users to adjust their behavior without issuing fines. Depending on the detected speed, alert messages may appear.

The pedagogical radar manufactured by WP Signalisation is remotely configurable via Wi-Fi using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. No application installation is required: simply connect to the radar’s Wi-Fi (protected by a password) and enter the username and password to access the radar’s settings and statistics.

Power Modes

Several power modes are available depending on your needs. Taking into account the resources and equipment at your disposal, we can develop a suitable power supply. Thus, the use of photovoltaic panels, public lighting, or connection to the mains are possible.

For solar power, the photovoltaic panel supplies the system via the control box fixed directly on the mast. The use of photovoltaic panels is a more ecological solution. Powering the system via the control box fixed directly on the mast will be possible thanks to UV radiation.

The radar can also be used to control reward lights. This is an option ; it can be placed upstream of the light. The pedagogical radar and the reward light are equipped with non-wired communication technology.

The electronic display can be set according to speed, either fixed or flashing. The display color is red, green, or blue, depending on the recorded speed.

A radar with analysis privileges

The WPS radar is capable of recording and analyzing traffic flow. Statistics are collected for both directions of traffic. The provided software allows users to filter and analyze recorded data in a simple and fast manner.

It is possible to filter data to apply analysis based on :
